Brianna and Ben tied the knot at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Long Grove, Iowa. These two met online through mutual friends and instantly clicked and knew there was a strong connection. They both love the outdoors, camping, bonfires and enjoy watching movies and cooking together.

Their wedding design featured wildflowers and different shades of purple and pink. According to Brianna, they didn’t want the design to be too trendy. I think they perfectly achieved a natural and beautiful looking design! The bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses while the groomsmen wore tan suits with lavender vests and bowties. The wildflower bouquets added a pretty pop of color to the bridal party’s look.

Ben and Brianna’s ceremony was a full Catholic wedding mass. My favorite moment of the ceremony was when Brianna walked down the aisle! Ben’s reaction was so sweet. I loved getting to capture this emotional moment. Another special detail incorporated into the ceremony was a flute player during the special music. Brianna used to play flute at mass for St. Ann’s when she lived in Iowa and wanted to incorporate that into the mass.

After the ceremony, we took some portraits outside. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day with perfect weather. After spending just a short time with Brianna, Ben and all their friends and family in the wedding party, it’s clear that they all have so much fun together! There was a lot of laughter during the portraits. Some of my favorite pictures from the day were the less formal shots of the bridal party just hanging out and having fun before the reception.

To start out the reception, there was a surprise slideshow that Brianna made for Ben. It was such a special surprise and I loved seeing the pictures from their childhood! Some reception details that I loved were the custom photo booth, the Jenga “guest book”, and the reception photo checklist on every table.
