Petersen Wedding

the blog

I had a wonderful time capturing Jacy and Max’s wedding day!

These two met at work and hung out with the same group of friends outside of work. After agreeing to go try some food at a local restaurant, Jacy accidentally locked her keys in the car on the way there. Max offered to drive her around and loaned her some cash so she could pay her landlord to get her spare keys in her apartment. Once they got the car unlocked, they went to dinner which went really well. They hit it off and the rest is history!

Even though it had been cold all week, Max and Jacy had a beautiful sunny day for their wedding. They had their ceremony at New Era Lutheran Church in Muscatine. I love how their burgundy color scheme matched the interior of the church. Their color scheme was accented with pale pink, navy, and lots of greenery.

Jacy and Max had their reception at Camp Abe Lincoln. This space was beautifully decorated with lights and so many other personal touches. Some of my favorite parts of the reception were the sweetheart table and the dessert bar. I also love how Jacy and Max were able to incorporate their love for baseball into so many details throughout the day. After dinner, toasts, and dancing, Jacy and Max had a bonfire for all their friends and family to enjoy some s’mores!
