Walker Wedding

the blog

Zoey and Jack’s original plan for their wedding had to be postponed because of the pandemic. Thankfully, they still officially got married on their original date on May 2nd. Just a few months later, they were able to have their ceremony and reception with all of their friends and family. I’m glad these two could still have celebration that they planned for, even if it was a few months later than expected!

It was a beautiful summer day for a simple backyard wedding. The ceremony took place at Jack’s grandparents house in front of their pond. It was a hot day, but the ceremony was situated under a nice shade tree. My favorite part of their ceremony was the unity ceremony. Jack and Zoey brought back sand from the beach in Florida where they got engaged. They each poured a bottle of sand into one container to symbolize their two separate lives becoming one. I love how they incorporated a special detail from their engagement into their wedding day.

Zoey and Jack’s color scheme included dusty blue and burgundy. These two colors were perfectly incorporated into the flowers, outfits, and decorations throughout the day. My favorite detail was Jack’s burgundy tux. It looked so classy and was a great way for him to stand out from the groomsmen.

It was so much fun to take these wedding pictures. Congratulations Zoey and Jack!
