Nissen Wedding

the blog

Morgan and Cody had such a fun wedding day and I’m glad I could be the one to capture it.

Their celebration took place at the Barn at Brophy Creek in DeWitt, IA. This venue was rustic, but elegant. The property was beautifully landscaped with lots of different buildings and areas around the property to explore. Morgan and Cody’s color scheme featured different shades of blue. All of the different shades of blue combined to create a one of a kind color palette.

The day started out with Morgan and Cody’s first look. Right after their first look, they exchanged their vows. I love how they decided to incorporate their vows into their first look and it was such a special time for them to share their vows with just each other.

Morgan and Cody’s ceremony was truly unique. They had live music, one of their best friends as their officiant, a reading by the groom’s sister, and made a margarita for their unity ceremony. I love how they personalized each aspect of the ceremony to fit their personalities and reflect their relationship.

After the ceremony came the reception. It was an absolutely beautiful summer evening, not too hot, with a nice breeze. There were so many places around the property to hang out and mingle during the reception. My favorite part of the day was dinner! Morgan and Cody had a taco truck and a pizza truck for their dinner options. The night ended with dancing. I think it’s safe to say that everyone at Morgan and Cody’s wedding had a great time!

I hope you guys enjoy these pictures!
