Harland Wedding

the blog

I absolutely loved capturing Samie and Clint’s big day!

Clint wanted to wait to see Samie until she walked down the aisle, so the morning was filled with anticipation, and a little bit of nerves. We had a fun time taking pictures with Samie and the bridesmaids and Clint and the groomsmen. It was a beautiful day outside and the weather was perfect.

Before the ceremony, Samie had a first look with her dad and received a special present from her mom who surprised her with her something borrowed and something blue. One of things that Samie and Clint love about each other is how much they both value family. I could definitely see the closeness and love between the families and loved capturing so many teary eyed moments.

The ceremony took place at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln. Samie and Clint chose this venue because they loved the A-frame style of the dining hall and both have childhood memories at the camp. The decorations were simple and featured light pink, gold, and greenery. The ceremony was short and sweet and the best part was Clint’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time.

After the ceremony, it was time to party! We stopped at Judy’s Barge Inn in Buffalo where Clint and Samie met, and then it was on to the reception.

These two and their families definitely know how to throw a party! The reception venue couldn’t have been more perfect – a white tent in the middle of a corn field on Samie’s family’s farm. The reception was kicked off by some of the most creative bridal party entrances I’ve ever seen. When it came time to dance, Samie and her dad blew me away with their father daughter dance! The night ended with a packed dance floor and everyone having a great time.

Samie and Clint, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your day. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
