Hello and welcome. I'm Gigi! I'm a wedding and portrait photographer based in Eastern Iowa.
Thanks for stopping by the blog. This is where I share recent weddings and shoots, tips for brides, and tips for photographers.
James and Abigail had a gorgeous winter wedding in Fairfax, Virginia. They completely transformed their reception venue into a winter wonderland with lots of lights, Christmas trees, and floral arrangements. My favorite part of the day was the surprise song that James wrote and sang for Abigail during their reception.
Caryssa and Blake tied the knot in their hometown, Manchester, Iowa. Their soft pastel color palette included light grey, lavender, navy, and lots of greenery. Their day started out at an old remodeled house, which provided a beautiful backdrop for their details, getting ready pictures, and portraits.
Lucas and Adeara had a unique wedding with so many little personalized details. They worked in references from their favorite shows and games, had tons of board games for their guests to play at the reception, and had the most adorable flower pup and ring dog!
I loved getting to capture Carolyn and Ian’s wedding at the Outing Club in Davenport! These two are the nicest couple and it was a privilege to take their wedding pictures. My favorite part of their day was the ceremony send off in Carolyn’s dad’s bright red ’65 Ford Mustang.
Keith and Heather got married at Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin Illinois. The purple and pink mismatched bridesmaids dresses made for some amazing bridal party pictures. My favorite moment of the day was when Keith saw Heather for the first time as she was walking down the aisle!
Sam and James had a backyard wedding at Sam’s childhood home in Pound, Wisconsin. My favorite moment of the day was when James saw Sam walking down the aisle. They had a rustic barn reception with lots of dancing and yard games for their friends and family.
Matt and Amber’s wedding day was a dream! I loved shooting at Rapid Creek Cidery in Iowa City. They had an intimate celebration with their closest friends and family. My favorite parts of the day were their ring bearer dog, Archer, and the live music during their reception.
Brooke and Michael had a church wedding with their vintage inspired reception at a pub owned by Brooke’s dad. The most special part of their day was getting to take pictures at Brooke’s grandparents farm where she had so many great childhood memories.
